Our goal is to support children’s development in an engaging and respectful environment that values both structure and play.Position Summary:We are seeking a caring and dependable Lead Teacher for our Toddler 1 Classroom, serving children ages 12 to 18 months. This position is perfect for someone who understands early development, is calm and attentive, and knows how to create a structured yet loving routine. The right candidate will provide consistent care, encourage independence, communicate with families daily, and help young toddlers meet major milestones such as walking, feeding themselves, and early language development.Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom for 12–18-month-olds.
- Provide a consistent daily routine with flexibility for individual toddler needs.
- Implement fun, age-appropriate lesson plans that support motor skills, language development, sensory exploration, and emotional bonding.
- Foster secure attachments and emotional trust with children through responsive caregiving.
- Support and guide children through transitions such as bottle weaning, self-feeding, and beginning communication.
- Maintain daily communication with parents and provide developmental updates.
- Observe and track each child’s milestones and document accordingly.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and leadership to maintain a high standard of care and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety procedures, and center policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Deep understanding of infant/toddler development and the importance of routine and responsive caregiving.
- Excellent observation, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Able to lift 30 lbs and be on the floor engaging with children throughout the day.
