The Formulator at AMVAC’s Marsing, Idaho facility will formulate and package seed treatment chemicals. The Formulator will accurately weigh and mix liquids and powders and is responsible for filling, sealing and palletizing the products for shipment. This position is on-site for the day shift – Monday through Friday.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weigh and mix powdered or liquid dyes and chemicals following formula sheets
  • Monitor product quality and ensure all specifications are met during formulation and packaging
  • Adjust equipment and labels to product specifications
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments as needed
  • Accurately fill, seal, and palletize products
  • Record process data and meter readings on batch tickets
  • Use assigned PPE and maintain equipment in good condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
  • Report on any safety, quality, or process issues to the Shift Supervisor
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing; chemical handling and equipment operation skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance
  • Strong math skills – able to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions
  • Proficient in reading batch records, SOPs, and safety documentation
  • Basic computer skills - experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with GMP, safety, and contamination control standards
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment physical

  • High school diploma or equivalent
