Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to bring structure, scalability, and predictability to our growing engineering organization. In this leadership role, you will drive the development and deployment of our advanced laser-based technologies. As Director of Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to ensure consistent, high-quality product development and timely product launches.



Responsibilities:


  • Lead the execution of product roadmap in close partnership with the senior executive team, ensuring alignment of priorities across the R&D organization.
  • Build, scale, and guide a high-performing engineering team through the transition from prototyping to full-scale production.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of laser-based systems and production tooling, ensuring adherence to performance, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Drive the successful execution of key engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, optimal resource allocation, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Operations, Sales, and other departments to align engineering initiatives with broader company objectives.
  • Improve engineering efficiency and effectiveness by implementing and refining best-in-class processes and methodologies.
  • Assess, adopt, and integrate new technologies and tools that accelerate innovation and support product development efforts.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for external partners, suppliers, and customers to ensure clear alignment on requirements and successful delivery of solutions.



Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree preferred in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of progressive engineering leadership, ideally within capital equipment or related technology-driven industries.
  • Atleast 8 years of direct experience in product development and engineering management, leading teams through the full product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of driving complex technical initiatives to successful outcomes.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset.
  • Experienced in managing relationships with external suppliers, partners, and engineering vendors.
  • Deep expertise in structured program management and process-driven engineering methodologies.
  • Proven ability to execute effectively in fast-paced, rapidly evolving settings.
