PRIMARY ROLE:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing marketing strategies that fuel company growth and expand brand visibility. This role is critical in driving customer acquisition, elevating the company's presence in the market, and strengthening client relationships. The Marketing Manager leads campaigns, branding, digital strategy, social media, and cross-functional marketing efforts, while supervising and mentoring the Marketing Assistant.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Growth Marketing & Brand Awareness

  • Create and lead marketing initiatives that drive lead generation, customer engagement, and new business opportunities.
  • Increase brand visibility through campaigns, partnerships, public relations, and digital outreach.
  • Identify new channels, communities, and markets to position the company more broadly and competitively.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure marketing efforts align with company revenue goals and growth targets.

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan, budgets, and timelines.
  • Align marketing goals with business objectives and communicate performance updates to leadership.

Campaign and Event Oversight

  • Oversee planning and execution of marketing trips, conferences, and client-facing events.
  • Review and approve itineraries, logistics, and follow-up strategies.

Social Media Strategy & Oversight

  • Lead the social media strategy and performance across platforms to increase engagement and reach.
  • Supervise content calendar creation, posting cadence, analytics, and campaign testing.

Client Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients on marketing initiatives and branding support.
  • Work with client-facing teams to ensure marketing collateral and messaging are aligned with client needs.
  • Address client concerns and ensure high satisfaction through responsive, high-quality marketing support.

Brand Management

  • Ensure consistent use of brand identity and messaging across all platforms and materials.
  • Lead the development of SWAG and promotional materials that reinforce the company’s image and culture.

Content & Communication Strategy

  • Oversee the development of compelling content across email, presentations, social media, and web.
  • Maintain a communications calendar to ensure timely, coordinated outreach.

Web, Digital & CRM Oversight

  • Oversee website strategy, SEO performance, and digital campaigns.
  • Manage CRM optimization and reporting to support marketing workflows.

Vendor Management

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, on-brand marketing execution.
  • Oversee contract negotiation and deliverable timelines.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor the Marketing Assistant, providing coaching, guidance, and clear development goals.
  • Lead internal training on brand messaging, marketing tools, and external communications.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Track marketing performance through dashboards and KPIs.
  • Present regular reports and insights to leadership, making data-driven recommendations.

Other Duties

  • Participate in management team meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Handle other tasks and projects as assigned by the COO/management team.


Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies that drive growth.
  • Experience overseeing digital marketing, brand development, and social media strategy.
  • Experience in client-facing roles or managing marketing support for business development teams preferred.

  • Brand Stewardship: Strong eye for brand consistency and ability to uphold visual and voice standards across platforms.
  • Client-Focused: Skilled in managing client relationships and tailoring messaging and materials to support business needs.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Knowledge of SEO, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), web strategy, and email marketing best practices.
  • Social Media Management: Experience with platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook; able to develop and measure social media strategy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in tools such as Google Analytics, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and project management tools like Asana or Trello.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing events or client meetings.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, vendor management, and marketing contract negotiation.
