Position: Legal Assistant – Real Estate & Banking
Location: Atlantic City, NJ (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Expected Hours: 37.5 hours/week

About the Role

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys in our Real Estate and Banking/Financial Services practice areas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, and experienced in Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Banking/Loan matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to attorneys.

  • Manage incoming mail, faxes, and deliveries; sort and distribute accordingly.

  • Perform typing assignments and transcribe dictation involving legal terminology.

  • Establish, maintain, and process files, correspondence, databases, records, certificates, and other documents.

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.

  • Arrange meeting logistics, including conference room setup.

  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years prior Legal Assistant experience (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and standard office practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word, with expertise in drafting and tracking changes in documents.

  • Experience with NetDocs (a plus).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive, task-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse clients and colleagues.
