The IT Specialist is responsible for providing timely technical support for our technology infrastructure including routine user account assistance and training, troubleshooting system issues and technical support to computer, camera and point-of-sale hardware and software.
This position is a full-time, 40 hour a week Tuesday-Saturday day shift role. This position will have scheduled variable shifts depending on business needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide routine technological support for organizational systems including:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile device and other peripherals
- Manage user accounts, permissions and access control within IT systems
- Set up new user accounts, email configurations and devices for staff members
- Install and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and data security
- Provide technical support to internal staff via phone, email or in person to address hardware, software and network issues promptly and effectively
- Document all support activities, IT processes, configurations and troubleshooting guides for reference
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with Senior Manager of Technology to identify and resolve core problems and ensure issues are properly escalated and addressed in a timely manner
- Assist with training Zoo staff on new IT processes and technologies
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or related coursework, technical or trade school in computer-related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ related work experience
- Familiarity with IT help desk systems, Active Directory, group policy, Microsoft 365 Suite and Microsoft Admin Centers
