Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting medical history.
  • Support physicians during examinations and procedures by ensuring necessary equipment is ready and available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within established protocols.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and manage communication for office efficiency.
  • Educate patients regarding their treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare practices.
  • Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a Medical Assistant role or a similar clinical environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective patient interactions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to thrive in a busy practice.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software is advantageous.
