????️ Your Role: A Unique Blend of Tech & Admin
As our Engineering Administrative Assistant / CAD & Procurement Coordinator, you'll wear multiple hats. One moment, you're updating CAD files and tracking revisions; the next, you're coordinating with vendors to ensure parts arrive on time. You'll be the operational backbone of our engineering team—bringing order to complexity and driving progress with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and navigate CAD files (primarily in SolidWorks) to extract data and export BOMs to Excel.
- Create, maintain, and update multiple Excel spreadsheets used for inventory, procurement tracking, and BOM management.
- Coordinate the procurement of mechanical components and prototype parts from vendors and suppliers.
- Communicate with suppliers to request quotes, track order statuses, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage shipping and receiving of parts and materials, including inventory tracking and documentation.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, documentation management, and assisting the engineering team with project coordination.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and document control of engineering files, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel to support prototype builds and production planning.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (basic navigation, BOM extraction).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, formatting, data organization).
- Prior experience with procurement or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and vendor coordination.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- No Degree Required, two years’ work-related experience preferred.
