Our client, a leading Texas-based power company specializing in utility-scale solar energy, is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the electrical installation and commissioning of large-scale solar power projects. This leadership role is key to ensuring electrical work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all standards and regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Installation & Supervision

Lead electrical crews in installing medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) systems

Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, OSHA, and local codes
-
Install inverters, transformers, switchgear, and grounding/power collection systems
-
Troubleshoot solar arrays, combiner boxes, and substation connections

Review electrical blueprints and technical documents
Safety & Compliance

Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NEC safety standards

Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)

Train team members on electrical safety and proper equipment handling
Project Coordination & Leadership

Plan and assign daily work schedules
-
Coordinate efforts with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors

Mentor and lead crews, encouraging a culture of accountability and excellence
Quality Assurance & Testing

Perform testing and inspections (continuity, insulation resistance, commissioning)

Ensure all systems pass testing and inspection before energization

Maintain detailed documentation and as-built drawings
Qualifications
-
3+ years in utility-scale solar electrical installations
-
Prior role as an Electrical Supervisor, Foreman, or Lead Electrician

Expertise in MV/HV systems and utility-scale infrastructure

Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, OSHA, and electrical safety

Proficiency with electrical testing and troubleshooting

OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications required

Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
