We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Urgent Care Primary Care setting. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient service and support within our medical facility. A solid understanding of physiology and medical terminology is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, ensuring a compassionate and efficient environment.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Ensure that all medical equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Proper handling, storage, and administration of injections and immunization.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Experience in pediatrics is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast paced environments, including urgent care settings, both individually and as a team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the role while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
