Medical Assistant or LPN desired for growing, team-oriented dermatology practice (outpatient specialty clinic) for 3-4 days/week, hours approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in office space with beautiful ocean views. Must have ability to work on EMR/EHR, as well as assisting with minor surgical procedures, wound care, and administrative duties. Dermatology experience desired but not required.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, assisted living facilities, and inpatient environments. The LPN/MA will work closely with patients of all ages, including seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting in their medical needs.
Duties
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor health status and report any changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including botulinum toxin treatment when applicable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide support to patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients in various settings such as geriatrics, clinics, and assisted living facilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care is essential; experience in senior care or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and protocols is required.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and best practices within an inpatient or assisted living environment is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients.
