Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
  • Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement anomalies.
  • Select appropriate fixturing, probes, and measurement strategies for various parts.
  • Generate comprehensive inspection reports and analyze measurement data.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with CMM operation, setup, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement uncertainty.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers, portable measuring arms).
  • Proficiency in CAD software beyond basic model import (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model manipulation or fixture design.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
  • Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for CMM hardware or software.
