About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a well-established general contractor in the Tampa and St. Petersburg market. This role focuses on delivering ground up light industrial, retail, and grocery projects with values up to 20 million dollars. The successful candidate will manage 2 to 4 projects at the same time and oversee all phases from preconstruction through close-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of ground up commercial, light industrial, retail, and grocery construction projects from preconstruction through turnover.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, cash flow, and change order management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal teams to ensure milestones are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders while maintaining quality, safety, budget, and timeline objectives.
  • Lead RFI and submittal processes, permitting, procurement, subcontractor buyout, and general project administration.
  • Conduct site visits regularly and monitor quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while prioritizing resources and maintaining consistent performance across all job sites.
  • Prepare progress reports, cost reports, and close-out documentation for internal review and client presentation.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience delivering ground up projects in light industrial, retail, grocery, or related commercial sectors.
  • Experience managing 2 to 4 projects at the same time with individual project values up to 20 million dollars.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Proficient with project management and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
