Position Summary
We are seeking a Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator to manage transportation logistics and support daily procurement operations for a local well established food processor. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, securing carriers, tracking deliveries, and ensuring materials are available to meet production needs.
This position plays a key role in cost control, reporting, and collaboration across operations, customer service, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling and routing
- Secure and manage carriers while ensuring on-time deliveries
- Track shipments, freight rates, and maintain transportation records
- Support procurement of packaging, ingredients, and operational supplies
- Maintain purchasing records, inventory levels, and documentation (POs, COAs, etc.)
- Communicate delivery schedules and material status to internal teams
- Develop transportation reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and stock level management
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and carriers
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- ERP experience (Sage X3 or similar preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
