PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Summary:
-
Leads and supports a team of technicians in the installation, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems.
-
Fabricating wire harnesses, performing terminations, conducting ring-outs, and assisting in functional testing to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory standards.

Provide work direction to assigned technicians and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, components, and fixtures according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

Train team members in work assignments and contribute to skill development through innovative techniques.

Collaborate with Engineering to resolve technical issues and perform repairs per engineering direction.

Maintain required logs and records to ensure traceability and compliance.

Ensure all work complies with regulatory and customer requirements.

Enforce company programs including FOD control, tool accountability, 5S, and safety procedures.

Inspect completed work (including work by other team members) to ensure a defect-free installation prior to final inspection.

Maintain and properly care for assigned tools and shop equipment

Coordinate shift change activities in the absence of the team lead

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen)

Assist and backfill for the team coordinator as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, OR Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
-
Working knowledge of Policies and Procedures Manual, Inspection Procedures Manual, and applicable Process Specifications

Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks with minimal impact on productivity

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Basic computer and keyboard proficiency
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
