Job Purpose
Provide accounting support for the company’s Human Resources function. Directly contribute to the financial close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations associated with Human Resources (medical, benefits, workers’ compensation, payroll, etc.), analyzing financial results, and providing financial information to management.
Essential Functions
- Participate in the enterprise monthly close process by preparing journal entries and providing accounting support for payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, and medical
- Analyze and perform balance sheet reconciliations that involve multi-step processes and/or large amounts of data; research and reconcile any financial discrepancies with minimal supervision
- Work with various internal departments and third-party specialists throughout the month to obtain necessary information and approvals for journal entries and accruals
- Assist with compiling external audit requests
- Assist with ERP system integrations, as well as acquisition accounting and integration
- Serve as back-up for other team members in the department as needed
- Support special projects as assigned
- Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and VLookUps)
- Proficiency in SAP, Great Plains, or larger ERP systems
- Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate a commitment to documentation and process improvement
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $72,700 to $82,400 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
