Our company is looking for a Direct Care Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual;
- Immediately reports emergency situations by phone to supervisor or office;
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting;
- Preparing meals and special diets;
- Follows assignments and regulations;
- Provide compassionate companionship to patients;
- Communicates with the designated supervisor;
- Document each visit per Agency policy;
- Performing general housekeeping activities;
- Wears appropriate clothing and ID badge when at work;
- Works within the organizations channel of authority;
- Follows the service plan as written;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Use policy manuals as guidelines for service.
Requirements:
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time;
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report;
- High school diploma preferred;
- At least 2 years experience in the home care field (agency, hospital, community);
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time;
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Experience with hoyer lift;
- At least 2 years experience in the homecare field (agency, hospital, community).
- Proof of vaccination
