Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a K-12 caseload in a school setting located in Lumberton, NC. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to support student development and well-being through occupational therapy services tailored to school-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Adapt and modify activities to support students educational goals and promote independence.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professional expertise to support overall student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of school-based occupational therapy practices and educational regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload and organize time efficiently.
