We are looking for an individual who can attract new customer relationships, as well as continue to grow existing relationships in order to ensure we are the chosen source for targeted programs/projects. This individual will be key in understanding and communicating the customer/markets needs and facilitating the solution by working collaboratively with our global resources to drive the execution to win. The ideal candidate will be able to identify the right value propositions and develop value-added, profitable sales opportunities to negotiate beyond price, creatively promote value of our solutions, and secure equitable contracts/agreements. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a highly energetic, fast paced, and competitive sales environment.
Duties include
- Aggressively seek new sales opportunities for our Comfort Group, specifically related to vehicle cooling system.
- Maintain multi-year relationships with key customer purchasing, engineers and managers by providing consistent support and serving the customers’ needs with integrity.
- Execute product sales strategies and plans via internal collaboration and customer relationship management.
- Build relationships with customers and obtain information on their market trends, value points, and satisfaction of our service.
- Spend time at customer sites developing relationships with various levels and disciplines.
- Apply financial analysis for business choices/projects and prepare various options considering short- and long-term effects.
- Translate Voice Of the Customer (VOC) input into the product technology road maps.
- Establish long term growth model for focus business segment charged with managing.
- Translate customer forecasts and data for accurate planning and effective decision-making.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Technology aptitude. Quick learner to grasp the understanding of technical applications, and able to apply knowledge/skills to advance our products as solutions to customers' needs.
- Experience in electro-mechanical components would be beneficial.
- Experience with supporting the product development process.
- Experience with supporting product qualification.
- Experience with custom product development and specification development.
- Sound leadership and communication skills. Able to drive/increase business growth. Able to distill major issues from background noise.
- Commercially aware regarding market, products, business capability, and services. Strategic thinker on markets, products, and projects.
- Strong analytical, financial, and reasoning skills. Understands current business financial measurement tools. Able to quickly analyze and conclude on complex data and risks.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development Role or in an engineering, quality or project management role.
- 6 + years of experience serving an external customer with demonstrated evidence of maintaining long term relationships.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Position Details
This is a hybrid work position, based in the greater Novi, MI area.
Normal job duties will involve local travel, occasionally overnight. In addition, travel for team or company meetings, including international travel, will occasionally be required.
