Job Title: QA Inspector – FQA

Job Function - Manufacturing Quality

Job Overview:

The Final Quality Assurance (FQA) Inspector performs final and other types of quality inspection to ensure adherence of the finished product to compliance requirements and procedures. Reports to Production Supervisor and is located at Unigen HQ at Newark, CA.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform inspections, and check sampling procedures:

  • Perform a cosmetic and full inspection, as well as a functional test for all product lines including PCBA and box builds
  • Ensure finished product compliance with ISO 900X, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 standards and ESD practices, proper material handling, and NCR practices/systems
  • Inspects nonconforming solder join defects on PTH and SMT component
  • Perform online Go-Not-Go inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet IPC-610A specification and standards.

2. Monitor and operate critical equipment and instrumentation:

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation, and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection in approving or rejecting final assemblies record daily test results
  • Perform data entry and scanning to support daily production schedules and transactions

3. Provide team support:

  • Demonstrate work methods to new hires
  • Escalates process problems with Peer, Leads, Supervisor and Engineers.
  • Share best practices, assist in minor troubleshooting
  • Actively participate in cross-training

Other duties and responsibilities related to Quality Assurance as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum High School Diploma.
  2. IPC-610A certification required.
  3. Minimum 5 years of working experience in First Article, In-Process, FQA, or Receiving Inspection in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
