Job Description


The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. It is this person who will maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with BOH team. The Food Runner will also be responsible for the initial expediting of carryout and catering orders.

Dynamic, self-starting individual who can work as a team player or independently.

Works well with various types of individuals; co-workers, managers & customers.

Provides the highest level of customer service, responding to requests of customers, remembering names or preferences, serving food & beverage, etc.

Understands basic health & safety regulations. Servsafe training a plus.

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment that includes the hot & cold temperatures of a commercial kitchen, using cleaning supplies, etc.

Capable of lifting & carrying heavy food trays, tables and chairs ranging from ten to fifty pounds.

Excellent in communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent in time management skills.

Maintains a professional appearance & displays a positive attitude.

Highly skilled in various forms of technology; computer systems & POS.

Other duties may include cross department training or work in other areas.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $11.40 - $14.42 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
