Our B2B SaaS company is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting and financial operations. As the Senior Accountant, this person is a critical member of the accounting team to support both our financial reporting and payroll related operations. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial processes and contribute to the growth of our company. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to lead and plan, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and work closely with other members of the accounting team.

This is a hybrid role working out of our Irvine, CA office 2x per week.


  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the consolidation process for multiple entities within the organization.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyze financial data to provide insightful commentary on variances and trends.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and meaningful financial reporting.
  • Payroll & Commissions:
    • Lead the bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
    • Manage commissions calculations, reconciliations, and payments in collaboration with Sales and Accounting & Finance teams.
    • Implement and optimize processes for efficient and error-free payroll and commissions administration.
    • Prepare journal entries related to payroll and commissions for accurate financial reporting..
  • Balance Sheet Accounting:
    • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including lease schedules, intangibles, and debt.
    • Perform detailed analysis to support the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
    • Assist in the implementation of accounting standards related to lease accounting and intangible assets.
  •  Audit, Tax, and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Stay abreast of accounting and tax regulations to ensure the company's adherence to the latest standards.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls to enhance compliance and mitigate risks.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required 
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally having spent time in a public accounting or Big 4 firm
  • Ability to understand existing processes with a nose towards optimization and streamlining
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or equivalent systems
  • Experience in SaaS or technology industry preferred
