Job Description

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Thorough understanding of GD&T Practices and principles to be able to read and interpret blueprints for the purpose of performing in-process, final inspection and testing of Oil field related equipment (Valves, Blocks, Pumps Etc), welded and fabricated equipment.
  • Proficient use of Measuring equipment (Depth Gauges, ID/OD Mics, Calipers, Etc.) and Testing Equipment/Software
  • Follow shop routers/work order to schedule sequence inspection/testing operations.
  • Perform Receiving, In-process, Final Inspection and testing utilizing drawing specifications.
  • Document Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections.
  • Perform calibrations on M&TE (Measuring and Test Equipment).
  • File and maintain all Quality Control records.
  • Perform essential duties following the Quality Management System.
  • Report and document nonconformance or potential problems relating to the quality of product and/or the QMS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of dimensional inspection, testing and manufacturing methods.
  • Working Knowledge of Industry standards such as API Q1 & 6A and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process and equipment.
  • CMM and FARO Arm experience. (Preferred)
  • Experience with various quality processes including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), First Article Inspection (FAI), CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action), and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action).
  • Physical requirements: Hand dexterity to use precise measuring equipment, sitting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and the handling of 50lbs or less.
  • Working Environment: Dependent on the seasons in South Texas, can be Hot or cold. Plenty of Fans, A/C break rooms and Restrooms.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


  • 3+ years of related manufacturing quality work history.
