Job Description

GLHS is looking to onboard nursing students to fill future RN openings.

Duties and Key ResponsibilitiesNursing Assistant:

  • Nursing Assistant with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must also possess solid clinical skills and be capable of performing a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Candidate must also collaborate and interact positively with the interdisciplinary team in order to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Must also be willing to float to other work areas as needed; to include 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th floors as well as to the Emergency Department.
  • Candidate must also be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess ability to meet physical effort conditions within job description.
  • Full Time or Part Time employees must be willing to work every third weekend and half of the major holidays.
  • STNA preferred.

LPN or RN:

  • Responsible for delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
  • Assumes a lead role in patient teaching. Places the patient at the center of care practices.
  • Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.

Requirements

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent for Nursing Assistants.
  • RN or LPN must be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.

Experience

  • Health care experience preferred, but not required.
