Job Description

Salary: Starting at $55K

Successful candidate will have field service experience in a clean room environment and the ability to travel globally for installation services (80%).

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite technical guidance to customers and their installation support contingent workers in the receipt, installation, and readying of pedestal package for applicable vibration and stiffness testing.
  • Ensure correct and accurate placement and proper mounting of pedestals and seismic restraint components to meet criteria specified by lithography equipment manufacturers.
  • Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, installation tools, mobile phone, laptop, etc.
  • Shall uphold a high standard of personal conduct to maintain physical and virtual access credentials for being on a customer work site.
  • Basic understanding of technical issues involving the installation process and able to elevate installation issues to senior Field Install Technician (FIT’s) and/or Install Manager for resolution.
  • Maintains accurate, legible records and reports as required in accordance with both Fulcrum and customer requirements.
  • Perform pre-installation site surveys.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while working in a clean room environment. Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills, implementing fast quality responses to both internal and external customers while maintaining a safety-first mentality.
  • Maintains and monitors tools for compliance with cleanroom protocol requirements and to ensure that appropriate tools are on hand, as required.
  • Booking domestic and international business trips. This includes, but is not limited to booking airfare, rental vehicle, and obtaining lodging within Fulcrum Travel policy. All of which is done via mobile apps, websites, or directly calling place of business.
  • Completes expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities, in accordance with Fulcrum’s policies/procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of field service/customer support experience of sophisticated, precision equipment is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Valid passport, or ability to obtain one within one (1) month after hire date
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment Background Investigation and Drug screen for Fulcrum employment.
  • Must be able to successfully meet customer site access requirements such as background checks, safety training, and cleanroom access (gowning and breathing apparatus [as applicable]).
  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents provided to successfully install pedestal package.
  • Pro-actively identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues at the customer site.
  • Intermediate verbal and written communications skills to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
  • Self-starter demonstrating technical competence using simple hand tools.
  • Provides onsite field service support with direct supervision of more experienced and/or senior FIT’s.
  • Able to successfully work individually and in a group environment, with little to no assistance from Install Manager.
  • Must be able to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot post installation issues via telephone or at customer site.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, with a solid foundation in and an understanding of the importance of relationship building.
  • Capable of taking accurate dimensions (+/- 1mm or 0.04 in.) using measuring tools graduated in either the metric or the imperial systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible with constantly changing work environments, schedules, and days worked.
  • May be required to work at Fulcrum shop if not performing installation activities.

Job Environment

  • Physically demanding, working in environmentally controlled clean rooms wearing customer provided complete coverage “bunny suit.”
  • On occasion, lift, push, pull up to maximum of 75 pounds
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Grip cordless grout dispenser for extended duration while laying on back, side, or stomach in awkward positions while in areas with space limited by structural, mechanical and/or electrical elements.
  • Monitored and controlled hazardous materials (gasses & liquids) are present and in use at the work site. Customer provided safety training will provide the FIT with the training and information necessary to react appropriately should a leak or spill occur.
