Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic – Wachusett Mountain - Massachusetts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles: Trucks, snow cats, grooming machinery, shuttle buses, snowmobiles, 4 wheelers.
  • Responsible for routine preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and safe operation of all vehicles.
  • Conduct inspections and identify potential problems or safety hazards.
  • Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all assigned tools and work areas.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual vehicle inspections along with detailed documentation.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all company vehicles, equipment, and machinery in accordance with Wachusett Mountain policies and procedures.
  • Provide a safe and positive guest experience.


  • Must have solid mechanical and electrical aptitude & experience with overall vehicle preventative maintenance and repairs, including Diesel engines.
  • Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostics equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of company vehicles mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Heavy machine operating experience preferred.
  • Skills in welding and fabrication preferred.
  • Positively interact with co-workers and guests.


  • Valid driver’s license and pass an insurance driving history inquiry.
  • Education: High School or equivalent.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Required schedule: 8-hour shifts, days. Occasional overtime on weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in confined spaces.
