Maintenance Technician (Multiple Sites)
We manage a portfolio of well-maintained and highly-regarded subsidized housing properties in Shorewood and Waukesha. Our communities are known for their high standards, consistently earning top scores from REAC inspections and WHEDA Reviews. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and supportive environment, not just for our residents but for our staff as well.
We are currently seeking a skilled and personable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept in both light plumbing and electrical work, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate strong communication skills. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on work environment and is committed to providing high-quality service to our residents.
· Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively.
· Ensure all maintenance activities are in compliance with safety standards.
· Maintain a proactive approach to prevent potential issues.
· Be available on-call according to a rotating schedule for two sites in Shorewood and one in Waukesha.
· Foster positive interactions and relationships with residents and staff.
· Keep accurate records of maintenance work conducted.
· Utilize Real Page software for maintenance requests and record-keeping (experience preferred but will train).
· Proven experience in maintenance with knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of Real Page property management software is a plus.
· Must hold a valid driver's license.
· Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
· Must display a positive demeanor and ability to interact well with residents and staff.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational schooling preferred.
