CNC Machinist - $29-$35 per hour

Job Summary:
As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for shaping and cutting parts for aerospace work stands and tooling through machining practices and procedures. You will utilize your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, ensuring the production of high-quality products. This role requires proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, as well as the ability to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions. You will work under direct supervision and collaborate with a team to meet production needs.

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time Direct Hire
- Location: On-site at our office and production facility
- Pay Rate: To be discussed during the interview process
- Shift: Regular business hours

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up fixturing and precision measuring equipment to produce an acceptable first piece.
- Prepare tooling, fixturing, gauges, materials, and paperwork.
- Complete all necessary documentation for first piece approval.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of machinery and work area.
- Assist in other areas to meet production needs.
- Perform sharpening tasks, offsets, and adjustments based on tool wear.
- Measure and check parts for quality assurance.
- Minimize waste and scrap, maximize labor efficiency, and account for all parts on jobs.
- Improve product throughput through additional operations and machining techniques.
- Program machine, prepare fixturing, material, and paperwork.
- Set up and proof CNC machines for runs to achieve high-quality products.
- Monitor set-up times and run-times, making necessary changes as directed.
- Suggest and implement improvements to machining process.
- Write, create, and test CNC programs.
- Monitor machining times and optimize by recommending new techniques and methods.
- Maintain jigs and fixtures.
- Collaborate closely with machinists, programmers, and supervisors.
- Assist in determining daily priorities and supplying needed resources.
- Provide timely updates on product status and location.
- Train and mentor new and less skilled employees.
- Validate and implement setup and run-time changes or improvements.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to create a positive work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Strong knowledge of machining equipment, fixturing, and precision measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with Mastercam software is preferred.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to identify steel shapes and sizes.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and basic prints.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
