As the first friendly face (and steady hand) at the front desk, you’ll set the tone for our guests’ experience—welcoming them with ease, helping them feel at home, and making sure every stay unfolds just right. Here's What You'll Be Up To
- Greeting every guest with warmth and professionalism, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free.
- Responding to questions and concerns with care and clarity—whether in person or over the phone.
- Providing thoughtful recommendations on local attractions, resort amenities, and what not to miss in Steamboat.
- Learning and using our reservation system to process payments, update guest records, and post charges with accuracy.
- Staying sharp on room availability, guest moves, and internal updates—communication is key.
- Partnering with Housekeeping to ensure room statuses are up-to-date and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Keeping common areas tidy, welcoming, and guest-ready, from the refreshment station to the front desk displays.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions securely and efficiently, with attention to detail.
- Documenting all front desk activity accurately—MOD reports, welcome calls, and other daily tasks.
- Jumping in to support special requests and one-off guest needs with flexibility and heart.
- Staying informed on The Fold’s guest service principles and carrying them through in everything you do.

- You’ve got at least six months of hospitality or customer service experience.
- You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems.
- You have a flexible schedule and are available for weekends, holidays, and the occasional surprise shift.
