Job Description

DSI Tech is looking for a System Administrator (contractor) to manage our Microsoft SCCM, Intune, Group Policy Objects, and software deployment. Responsibilities include supporting Windows desktop operating systems, managing updates through WSUS and Intune, collaborating with team members, ensuring minimal downtime, and documenting the environment. This position is based in Garland, Texas. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA, as no sponsorship is available at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, software deployment, and patch management.
  • Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration policies throughout the Windows desktop and laptop environment.
  • Deploy, update, and troubleshoot Windows 10 and 11 devices.
  • Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for desktop update management.
  • Create, test, and deploy software packages and updates with minimal user disruption.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and external partners to address issues and implement improvements.
  • Take part in change management processes, including planning and executing tests with minimal customer downtime.
  • Provide technical support for endpoint issues and escalate as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SCCM and Intune functionalities, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy management is essential.
  • Experience with the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Understanding WSUS for updating and management.
  • Ability to create and deploy software packages via SCCM and Intune.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately document technical processes.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, including with external partners.
  • Experience in IT support or administration, ideally within a Windows environment.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, are a plus.
  • Understand essential networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Experience in documentation and change management processes.
