ABOUT US: Highland Ridge Hospital is an 83-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. Highland Ridge is owned by Acadia Healthcare, a national leader in the behavioral healthcare industry. We are the oldest specialty treatment program in the state of Utah and are fully accredited by the Joint Commission.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral. Apply psychotherapeutic theories and techniques in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
SCHEDULE: Saturday and Sunday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide psychotherapy services to patients as scheduled.

Conduct individual, group, or family therapy sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.

Provide initial treatment planning for patients based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary.

Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards, revising as necessary.

Maintain a caseload as assigned.

Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.

May provide these services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Provide case management, discharge planning, or after-care planning according to the treatment plan.

Evaluate patient's needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or another recognized therapeutic field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of four plus years experience as a therapist with two or more years of experience with the specific population of the facility.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: State or national licensure for professional therapy providers is required. First Aid, CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility) are required.
