The Associate Facility Team Leader reports to the Facility Team Leader. Responsible in conjunction with the Facility Team Leader for overall management and supervision of any of the following assigned teams/functions: Receiving, Flow, Maintenance, Sanitation, Recycling, Regulatory (Food Safety, NSF), DC Safety, Shipping, IT, Accounting and/or Inventory Control. Responsible for all regulatory and food safety compliance including NSF audits. Works with the Facility Team Leader and TMS on all Team Leader and Team Member hiring, development, corrective actions, and separations. Also responsible for overseeing distribution execution, metric and financial performance, and special projects as assigned. Complete accountability for all aspects of facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Markets vision and goals.
  • Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members and Team Leaders in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive work environment which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale.
  • Select and develop Team Leaders as potential Associate Facility Team Leaders.
  • Provide, timely, thorough and thoughtful job dialogues.
  • Work collaboratively with Team Member Services on Team Member relations including investigations, corrective action documentation, and termination paperwork.
  • Act as Facility Team Leader in their absence.
  • Help project annual sales, expenses, and cases. Prepare annual budgets.
  • Help manage inventory levels to drive inventory turns; identify slow movers and initiate DISCO.
  • Achieve margin targets through control of expense and shrink.
  • Achieve budgeted expense levels through active management of the two largest controllable expense categories in the DC, labor and transportation.
  • Coordinate and supervise the physical inventory process, ensuring accuracy at all levels.
  • Help establish and manage productivity and accuracy standard for all Team Member positions.
  • Ensure product is slotted to support productivity goals through active management of the Inventory Control Team.
  • Require adherence to standard operating procedures through training and operational audits.
  • Help drive technological advances that improve productivity and accuracy; ensures ability to pay back capital expense.
  • Collaborate with National Buying Offices to obtain upstream support of DC goals.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with Regional Leadership, Coordinators, Store Leadership, Team Leaders, Team Members, National Purchasing and Global Distribution.
  • Communicate regularly with stores to ensure DC service is timely and accurate; communicate importance of DC expenses and how stores affect those expenses, particularly in transportation.
  • Attend regularly scheduled regional meetings, conference calls, and FTL conference calls.
  • Communicate all facility objectives, coordinator information and relevant information clearly to Team Members and Team
  • Leaders in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate, complete information in daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc management reports.
  • Model and cultivate effective inter-facility and intra-facility communication.
  • Establish and maintain positive vendor relationships.

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork

Wage Range

$59,300-$89,000

The wage range for this position is $59,300.00 - $89,000.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers Whole Benefits".
