We are offering a retention bonus of $1,200 to the right candidates.

Durable Life Skills Inc. is seeking a full-time energetic Supported Employment Specialist who will work hard with us to support individuals in the community with employment. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Job duties:

  1. Providing client-centered support for developmentally & intellectually disabled adults primarily at their jobs, as well as, various community settings.
  2. Doing job development, job placement and job coaching.
  3. Teaching job skills to clients.
  4. Preparing and maintaining records of new and existing clients.
  5. Submission of detailed, client-centered notes and matching timekeeping reports on a daily basis utilizing Company computer resources.
  6. Transporting clients to job sites.
  7. Following up on research projects and other special projects

New hires must pass background and drug tests as well as submit a Department of Motor Vehicle record to the company and have valid ID/Insurance. Training will be hands-on with clients.

Requirements:

  • Team player
  • Self-starter who can work unsupervised with professional integrity to maintain all DLS policies and protocol
  • Be firm yet compassionate
  • Flexible and able to respond well to last-minute adjustments
  • Caring, and can maintain good humor.
  • Associates must be able to accept constructive feedback and be attentive with training on our efficient software system & follow uniform business practices.
  • Related experience of customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills is a must.

Willing to hire individuals with no experience yet have a desire to learn, train and grow in the Employment specialist/supported employment Professional industry. Great options for flex schedules. CPR/1stAid QMAP, ACRE Certified a plus but not an initial requirement.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.50- $19.00 per hour based on education and experience to start and you will receive incremental raises with regular performance evaluations. Also, there will be opportunities for bonuses along the way.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, and some evenings and weekends are a must. We offer flex shifts.
