Senior Marketing Manager

Reports to – Director or Marketing

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our team. As a seasonal consumer packaged goods (CPG) small business, we thrive on connecting with our customers through innovative marketing. This role is perfect for a hands-on marketing professional who excels at execution and is eager to shape our brand's presence in the market. Key responsibilities include researching target markets, planning display marketing, providing feedback into product development, and working with sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to understand and determine objectives and goals.

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, you'll be instrumental in managing and executing all facets of our marketing initiatives. You'll translate marketing strategies into actionable plans, ensuring our brand message resonates across all channels and drives sales for our seasonal products.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and voice across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Develop and execute compelling content strategies for social media, website, email campaigns, and other platforms, aligning with our seasonal product launches and brand narrative. This includes creating and curating engaging written and visual content.
  • Oversee all social media platforms, including content scheduling, community engagement, performance tracking, and identifying new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring it's user-friendly, optimized for conversions, and accurately reflects our current product offerings and brand story.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, including Google PPC, social media advertising, and display ads.
  • Implement and manage search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic. Oversee search engine marketing (SEM) efforts, including keyword research and ad copy development.
  • Manage and optimize advertising campaigns on relevant e-commerce marketplaces to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers as needed for marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with sales, product development, and operations teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing in managing marketing budgets and ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify new marketing opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with a strong focus on digital marketing, preferably within the CPG industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Expertise in SEO, Google Ads (PPC), social media advertising, and website content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and marketplace advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Highly creative with the ability to generate innovative ideas and engaging content.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics tools and comfortable interpreting data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic small business environment.
  • Experience with seasonal products or businesses is a plus.
  • Ability to think ‘on your feet’ to create resolutions, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
  • Team player able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Willing to learn and grow with the company
  • HubSpot and/or Salesforce experience a plus
