About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Head of Investment Accounting to lead a high-visibility team. The successful candidate will be responsible for GAAP and Statutory investment reporting, process improvements, and control enhancements. This role involves overseeing daily accounting and financial reporting, collaborating with a third-party asset manager, and ensuring timely and controlled investment accounting activities. Key responsibilities for the VP, Head of Investment Accounting include managing SOX controls, providing insights on investment performance, ensuring team cross-training, and staying current with market and regulatory changes.
The ideal candidate will have a CPA, a minimum of 10 years' experience in investment accounting, with at least 5 years' in a management role, and strong expertise in Fixed Income and Structured Securities. Experience in public accounting and PAM is a plus. The VP, Head of Investment Accounting will be a critical part of the company's mission to provide life insurance, asset accumulation, and supplemental health products. The role requires a professional who can work closely with senior leaders, is adept at process improvements, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting and control.
