Chickasaw Nation Industries is seeking to hire a qualified Cloud Engineer. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems. The Network Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure. This position uses a thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security.

As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.

In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies

Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.

Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration

Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) I level preferred. These include A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, and SSCP.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates, maintains, and administers computer networks and related computing environments for Azure cloud projects.

Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop network solutions.

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves network problems and issues.

Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.

Performs routine maintenance, such as applying software updates and patches.

Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency.

Protects data, software, and hardware by planning and implementing network security measures in compliance with all cybers security regulations.

Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Performs all network administration and maintenance of designated physical and virtual company network(s) required to meet company business requirements.

Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
