About the Role:
Droplet Biosciences is seeking a research associate to oversee the receipt, processing and storage of clinical specimens. This entry level role in the accessioning team works cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, CLIA and research and development teams to ensure high quality processing of patient samples that enable Droplets transformative diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Receive and accession incoming samples; escalate missing, incorrect, or atypical information/samples when needed.
- Process biospecimens for use in downstream assays, including blood processing, DNA extraction, and quality control.
- Facilitate outgoing shipments.
- Assist day-to-day laboratory operations, including inventory and equipment management.
- Evaluate and contribute to novel techniques and for continuous technology development.
- 40 hours per week (full-time) with the flexibility to work Saturdays if needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in life sciences, chemistry or related
Desired:
- Prior laboratory experience
- Familiarity with human primary specimen processing
