Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Bedford, TX
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $60-70k – competitive, commensurate with experience
Imprimis is seeking a receptionist for our client, a fast-growing, dynamic biotech firm based in Bedford, TX, dedicated to medical research. The Staff Accountant will support numerous functions within the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet and expense account analysis, bank reconciliations, and working with QuickBooks, and other accounting software. The company is poised to go public within the next two years offering opportunity for growth. Excellent benefits!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience including full cycle A/P, A/R, expenses, month end, heavy reconciliation, financial analysis and other full cycle accounting functions
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills, focus, accurate, attention to detail, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Technically proficient including MS Office, QuickBooks, Bill.com and various other reporting tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate and inventory accounts payable and receivable including month end close, reconciliation, and expense payables
- Ensure vendor invoices are valid and accurate
- Maintain balance sheet and expense accounting, including monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support audit and tax requests annually in relation to role scope
- Execute time-sensitive work to achieve results within deadlines
- Proactively help manage accounting functions and improve processes
- Prepare supporting schedules for monthly and annual accounting closes
- Other financial and analytical projects as needed
