Job Summary

The Assembly Equipment Technician I plays a key role in the assembly and repair of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in the Inovoject® System and other related devices. This position involves troubleshooting, building, and maintaining systems, as well as supporting the assembly process for new technologies and prototypes. The Technician will work closely with the engineering and quality teams to ensure the production and functionality of equipment is efficient and up to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Construction:
  • Work from wiring, electrical, and mechanical diagrams, equipment drawings, and work instructions to construct, build, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in the Inovoject® System and other devices during the assembly process.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical and pneumatic devices on the Inovoject® system when issues arise, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping:
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of detailed records documenting the build process.
  • Organize and maintain systems for filing and updating these records efficiently.
  • Parts Rebuild and Prototyping:
  • Assist in parts rebuild when necessary.
  • Learn techniques for assembling new technologies and prototypes in collaboration with engineering.
  • Collaboration with Engineering:
  • Work closely with engineering to document necessary equipment changes and ideas aimed at improving the functionality and quality of operations.
  • Assist engineering in advancing the assembly and testing of new technologies and prototypes.
  • Shop Floor Organization and Maintenance:
  • Maintain personal tools and shop floor hardware inventory.
  • Keep an organized and clean workspace and work with the Manager of Manufacturing to identify areas for improvement in workflow and assembly procedures to reduce build time and costs.
  • Quality Control and Shipping Support:
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Specialist to address any device repairs.
  • Assist the manufacturing and logistics teams in preparing devices for shipment.



Work Schedule

  1. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Ability to read and interpret wiring, electrical, and mechanical diagrams.
  2. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical and pneumatic devices.
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  4. Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment with engineers and quality control specialists.
  5. Knowledge of assembly techniques and interest in learning about new technologies and prototypes.
