WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Assistant Corporate Engineer assists Corporate Engineers in performing maintenance and preventative maintenance for corporate buildings. Maintenance to include boilers, heaters, plumbing, electrical issues etc.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Assists in maintaining:
o Boilers and heat related equipment
o Water treatment and equipment necessary to distribute chemicals
o Clean well-lighted plants and equipment rooms
o Up to date accurate plant logs and water meter readings
o Plumbing and pump equipment
o Electric devices and distribution equipment
o Frequency drives and control components
o Preventive maintenance on all plant equipment - Make plumbing joints. Solder, brazing, threaded, mechanical or screw
- Make electrical connections on low and line voltage
- Run control wiring, conduit or liquid tight for electrical circuitry
- Perform plant inspections and report deficiencies to supervising engineer
- Complete plant operation logs and report on water loss
- Perform cooling tower preventive maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
- Contribute to team/company engagement efforts
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to work under supervision
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with fellow team members and the public
- Knowledge of the use and care for tools and equipment associated with stationary engineering
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and an understanding of the necessary safety precautions applicable to the position
- Operational knowledge of central plant equipment
- Working knowledge of water chemistry associated with plant operations
- General maintenance skills and knowledge
- Operational knowledge of low pressure boilers
- Operational knowledge of natural gas and oil burning equipment
- Operational knowledge of water moving pumps
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- Knowledge of controls associated with HVAC, including energy management systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in HVAC and control wiring
- Universal Refrigerant Certification
