Duties:
- Perform basic cell culture techniques for isolation of primary cells and passage of cell lines.
- Assist with the execution of viral propagation and analytical proof of concept (POC) experiments.
- Execute in vitro analytical assays to evaluate and qualify viral stocks with minimal supervision. Accountable for performing all techniques and assays so test sessions yield valid results and repeated work is minimized.
- Provide quality support of viral research team members through data acquisition, reporting, and communication.
- Accurately record all data from research experiments and testing sessions in laboratory notebooks as appropriate.
- Generate documentation (ex. method protocols, research reports, SOPs) as a result of viral process or analytical POC experiments.
- Maintain inventory of key laboratory supplies.
- Comply with applicable regulations, perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, and maintain proper records in accordance with standard operating procedures and corporate policies.

- Maintain constructive and positive working relationships with the viral research teams, local development and analytical teams, clinical operations, industrial operations, regulatory affairs, and quality control.

- Experience in culture of primary avian cells and continuous cell lines is preferred.
- Experience conducting in vitro assays (viral titration, PCR, ELISA, virus neutralization) preferred.
- Experience with the safe and appropriate use of BSL2 organisms preferred.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills; High level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels of the organization.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in biology or related field from an accredited institution with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
