Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Advise clients on business and legal transactions.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
- Attend networking events to promote the firm.
- Ensure that all legal services meet firm standards and comply with relevant laws and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives to support firm growth and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and train junior attorneys, providing guidance on complex legal matters and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Florida.
- Previous legal experience preferred, particularly with billable hours.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office.
- Empathetic and client-focused approach to handling cases.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with substantial experience in civil litigation.
- Proven management experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
