BSA Supervisor
Location: Queens, NY
Office-based 5 days a week

Are you an experienced financial compliance professional with a passion for leadership and a deep understanding of BSA/AML regulations? We are seeking a BSA Supervisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and operational excellence within our Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program.

About the Role:
As a BSA Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our BSA/AML department, providing guidance and expertise to a dedicated team of analysts. Reporting to the BSA/AML Director, you will be responsible for supervising key compliance functions, including AML alert reviews, due diligence processes, and SAR filings. Your leadership will drive our commitment to regulatory excellence and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the department's operational functions, including CTRs, SARs, AML alerts, OFAC/sanction alerts, KYC, and EDD processes.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AML, KYC, and CIP issues, providing support and guidance to team members.
  • Conduct secondary quality assurance reviews and ensure timely, accurate completion of responsibilities.
  • Detect and monitor suspicious activities, reviewing SARs and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assist in team performance management, training, and development.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, model validation, and audit/exam preparation.
  • Act as a 314A and 314B contact, handling bi-weekly searches and interbank requests.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial compliance, AML investigations, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and training investigative teams.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of BSA/AML laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Verafin and Fiserv DNA systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
