Manager - Quality and Patient Safety - Lower Manhattan
In this role, the Manager will be responsible for leveraging a deep understanding of quality improvement methods, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards, to support hospital teams. The incumbent will play a key role in facilitating improvements and ensuring that the hospital's quality and patient safety initiatives meet both internal goals and external accreditation requirements.
The Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Manager is a full-time position dedicated to the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving healthcare quality, patient safety, and the efficiency of healthcare delivery processes. This role involves close collaboration with clinical leadership to advance evidence-based practices in patient care, align with national and hospital goals for patient safety, and drive initiatives that promote highly reliable and safe patient care.
The QPS Manager must have a strong understanding of quality improvement methods, regulatory and accreditation standards, and significant safety events. The incumbent will use this expertise to support hospital teams in continuous improvement efforts, facilitate change, and ensure that all quality, patient safety, regulatory, and accreditation activities are aligned with the hospital's goals and meet external accreditation requirements for ongoing certification.
The Manager will work closely with teams to implement these strategies, driving sustainable change and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
This is a flexible day shift position located at the NYP/LMH campus, with occasional travel to any campuses within our enterprise as needed.
Preferred Criteria
- Master's degree
- 3+ years of project management experience, with the ability to plan and lead projects, define project scope, develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and provide guidance and support to project teams.
- Familiarity with hospital systems
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS and DOH requirements, standards, and survey processes
- Expertise in patient safety, quality improvement, and hospital workflows
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably within Quality and Performance Improvement
- Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations to large groups
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Database
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills

$142,200-$192,700/Annual
