Vice President of Operations

Job Summary

The VP of Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations of the communities for the company. Impact Senior Living is consistently evolving with modernized systems and technology while anticipating changes in the industry and forging strong relationships with residents, their families, as well as ownership groups.

Introducing a signature team approach to developing and implementing best practices, Impact Senior Living, works to clean up and improve processes which will lead to a better resident experience with a primary focus on the middle market population.

  • Lead and conduct oneself according to company's mission of serving with purpose by treating others (associates, residents, family members, peers, vendors and ownership representative) as we would like to be treated.
  • Oversight of all community operations and direct supervision of Executive Directors.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted expectations.
  • Performs site visits
  • Work with Corporate team to develop and maintain community programs for resident experience and safety
  • Work with Corporate team members to ensure the community is exceeding expectations
  • Make educated decisions to improve resident care and the business as a whole
  • Ensuring that each community maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensure community leadership are held accountable for census growth, resident care, state and federal survey processes, budget management, a defined return on investment, an effective business plan, positive employee relations and implementation of and adherence to the company's programs and philosophies
  • Reviewing of policies and procedures in conjunction with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, health-related field or hospitality or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated 5-10 years of healthcare management experience.
  • CORE Training/Certification
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
  • Experience working with electronic medical records

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing.
  • Must submit to and pass a level 2 background screening

Work Environment

This job operates in both a professional office environment and senior care communities.

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand/walk/sit regularly and occasionally for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Travel required: 60%
