Position Overview:

As a Paint Sales Team Member, you will be a key contributor to our paint department, providing expert guidance and assistance to customers. Your role involves assisting with paint selection, color matching, and ensuring a positive shopping experience within the paint department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Assistance:
    • Greet and assist guests in the paint department with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
    • Provide expert advice on paint products, color coordination, and suitable applications.
  2. Color Matching:
    • Utilize color matching technology to accurately match paint colors to customers' samples or preferences.
    • Assist guests in choosing the right colors for their projects.
  3. Product Knowledge:
    • Develop a deep understanding of paint products, finishes, and application techniques.
    • Stay informed about new paint products and industry trends.
  4. Sales and Upselling:
    • Recommend additional paint products and accessories to enhance customers' projects.
    • Upsell premium or specialty paint options based on customer needs.
  5. Tinting and Mixing:
    • Operate paint tinting and mixing equipment to prepare custom paint colors.
    • Ensure accuracy in measuring and mixing paint according to customer specifications.
  6. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor paint inventory levels and communicate with the inventory control team for restocking.
    • Conduct regular checks for expired or damaged paint products.
  7. Customer Service:
    • Address guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Assist with product returns, exchanges, and warranty-related issues.
  8. Merchandising and Displays:
    • Ensure the paint department is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing.
    • Collaborate with the merchandising team to create eye-catching displays.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in paint sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong color coordination skills and an eye for design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
