Summary
Arcadis DPS is looking to add a Structural Discipline Manager to support our Semiconductor Sector. The Discipline Manager establishes and implements the discipline's goals and objectives. They help develop and promote the company's values and long-range plans, help ensure project profitability, and position the company for growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:

  • Responsible for establishing overall goals and objectives and coordinating their implementation.
  • Oversees and controls operations and activities within their discipline to promote achievement of the company's objectives.
  • Implements and/or ensures ongoing adherence to policies established by the company.
  • Monitors employee project utilization. Ensures balanced team distribution of work.
  • In conjunction with other senior leaders, is responsible for the realization of profits compatible with interests of clients and the company.
  • Implements and/or ensures ongoing adherence to policies established by the company.
  • Participates in creating and positioning the firm to take advantage of opportunities for growth and marketplace expansion.
  • Actively mentors structural staff with a focus on professional development.
  • Responsible for developing uniformly high production standards and monitoring projects to ensure that quality and production standards are met for all structural design deliverables.
  • Participates in project technical reviews.
  • Must be able to establish rigorous design procedures for their team.
  • May participate in all phases of design and provide structural management throughout.
  • May be asked to write reports or specifications.
  • Ensures subconsultants are held to the same standards as internally generated deliverables.

Education/Experience:
Master's degree or equivalent; or ten plus years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community. Write articles for publication. Present ideas to internal and external groups of stakeholders
Mathematical Ability:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Software Skills:
Advanced skills using Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, understand concepts of Revit and how the tool is utilized by team to generate project deliverables.
Certificates and Licenses:
Licensed Engineer
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May supervise up to 15 direct reports.

The salary range for this position is $155K- $185K. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
