With 91 years of history, Harkins Theatres is looking for a Manager of Analytics who is a hands-on member of the Analytics team that leads the team in translating business needs into clear and easy to understand reports and analysis. The manager will play an integral part in the design and development of business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and SSRS. Also, serves as a data visualization expert to advise on data visualizations best practices and assists with the gathering requirements to ensure efficient and effective designs.

What You Will Be Doing:
Actively engages with the business partners to fully understand the analytics requirements and implementation of reporting tools while advising on the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of various design options.
Leads the development and implementation of metrics, reports, dashboards and self-service reporting tools.Works with database administrators and architects to create dataflows, clean up data, and document dataflows.
Plays a hands-on, leadership role within the Analytics team while leading the day-to-day design and development of analysis and reporting.
Identifies and prioritizes analytical gaps between the current state and industry best practices.
Follows standard development techniques to ensure the integrity and supportability of the visualizations that are created.
Designs and updates interactive dashboards using Power BI.
Designs SSRS paginated reporting.
Writes measures (calculations) using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
Develops and implements role-based and row-based security models within Power BI that restrict data according to requirements.
Documents user requirements, dataflows, and dashboard construction.
Administers the Power BI environment.
Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical.
Sets high standards for self while maintaining company standards, policies, and procedures to ensure delivery of the ultimate moviegoing experience at all times.
Regular attendance and physical presence at the Theatre Support Office.

Requires typing on a computer, filing, scanning, copying, reaching, carrying light items, interacting with others, speaking on the telephone, problem solving, cognitive skills, and leading a group of employees.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience working directly with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Two plus years of experience supervising/leading a team.
PowerBI, SSRS, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet research experience. Excel and SQL skills are required.
Able to validate, organize, analyze, and present data in a meaningful and organized manner.
Able to manage internal and external data sources
Understanding of relational and dimensional database concepts and vision, with proven ability in writing complex and efficient SQL queries.
Expert knowledge of data visualization best practices.
Ability to work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define problems and design data visualization solutions in a team environment.
Expert knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), data structures, hierarchies, and business rule complexities.
Forward thinking and presents ideas and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.
Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical.
Familiarity with business intelligence concepts such as dimensional modeling, ETL, and report design.
Strong problem-solving abilities and quantitative skills.
Organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
Strong guest service and relationship management skills as well as the ability to engage and collaborate with other business partners at all levels of the organization.
Able to read/write English
Able to work independently as well as with a team.
