Program Support Specialist- Aging and Disability Services

Each month, LSS-SW supports over 5,000 Arizonans across Metro Phoenix, Tucson, and southern Arizona through programs in Refugee Services, Aging & Disability Services, Family Services, and Emergency Services.
Position Overview: The Program Support Specialist works under the supervision of the Home Care Supervisor to provide administrative and data entry support for all Aging and Disability Services programs within the Home Care department. This role is integral in ensuring the effective delivery of quality care by assisting with supervisory visits, client intake processes, and maintaining accurate records for billing and payroll. Additionally, the position requires effective communication with clients, families, and colleagues, while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with supervisory home visits, client intakes, and employee observation visits. Attend the front desk and assist clients and staff with professionalism.
- Record and accurately communicate information between clients, Direct Care Workers, Case Managers, and the Home Care Supervisor.
- Manage accurate and timely data entry into the system for billing and payroll. Ensure employee credentials are current and manage client and employee schedules.
- Assist with maintaining accurate client and employee files and securing confidential information.
- Assist with report summaries, copying, filing, and preparing materials for training and presentations.
- Provide backup coverage for Direct Care Workers when needed.
- Follow safety and health protocols for both the client and worker environment.
- Always demonstrate a professional attitude and attire, working non-judgmentally with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain professional credentials and participate in timely training and education.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with others, demonstrating compassion and a strong work ethic aligned with LSS-SW's mission.
- At least six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities or elderly clients.
- Certification as a Direct Care Worker, including knowledge of caregiving principles and physical disabilities.
- Strong ability to calculate figures, check documents for accuracy, and maintain detailed records.
- Proficiency in data entry, using office software, and understanding of office equipment and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Ability to evaluate information, identify issues, and take appropriate action.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to meet driving requirements if necessary.
