Job Description The purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day facilities operations of the College to include managing facilities maintenance, housekeeping, landscape and grounds maintenance, fleet management, capital projects, occupational health and safety and managing the colleges regulatory compliance program. This is accomplished by supervising direct reports in the areas of capital and operational projects, facilities maintenance and facilities operations to include wastewater management, vendor snow removal operations, and assisting with developing facilities master plan and capital program documents and proposals; coordinating design, construction, and maintenance activities. Assist with managing the annual capital budget and departmental operating budgets and engages peers and colleagues in regular communication with the intent of fostering an open dialogue and healthy exchange of ideas. Demonstrates commitment to Colleges mission, vision, and values through behaviors and work performance. Other duties include serving on College, state and county committees and task forces. FMP certification from IFMA must be obtained within the first year of employment. Required Education Bachelors degree required OR 10 years of facilities management experience at the manager or director level may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Required Experience 5 years of facilities management experience and 3 years of supervisory experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Leads all design, construction and campus maintenance activities in collaboration with the Project Manager. Provides leadership to ensure projects progress on time and within established budgets. Experience collaborating with contractors, architects, engineers, designers, and other maintenance-related vendors on capital projects. Manages the annual capital and departmental operating budgets. Tracks deferred maintenance projects, working closely with and making recommendations to leadership related to project prioritization. Preferred Qualifications CFM certification from IFMA. Experience managing CMMS. Bachelors degree or higher in facilities management, operations, construction management, or a closely related field. Hours per Week 40 - 100% General Weekly Work Schedule Mon-Fri 8:00-4:00p with occasional extended hours based on business needs.
